AUDIENCE
BLS for Healthcare Providers
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core
material such as adult and pediatric CPR
(including two-rescuer scenarios
and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway
obstruction, and automated external defibrillation.
For healthcare providers such as
EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists,
nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a
credential (card) documenting successful completion
of a CPR course.
Meets the requirements for
admission to Nursing or other Allied Health Programs.
Heartsaver AED
The Heartsaver CPR Course teaches CPR, AED use,
and relief of choking in adults and children, and infant
CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for
all ages.
General Public or those who have a duty to respond
because of job responsibilities or regulatory
requirements.
Skills Validation
Participants who have completed the online American
Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or
Heartsaver AED program - PART 1. Participants must
present a copy of their completion certificate during the
skills validation session.
For healthcare providers such as
EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists,
nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a
credential (card) documenting successful completion
of a CPR course. This is often utilized by those who are
recertifying their credentials and desire flexible
scheduling.

Heartsaver First Aid
The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches
how to manage illness and injuries in the
first few minutes until professional help arrives.
Course content includes General Principles,
Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, CPR and
AED, and Environmental Emergencies.
For those who have a duty to respond to
a first aid or cardiac emergency because
of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Heartsaver First Aid & CPR (Pediatric)
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Course teaches how
to manage illness and injuries in a child in the first few
minutes until professional help arrives. Topics include
First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury
Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies, CPr & AED.
For those involved in child care who have
a duty to respond to a first aid emergency because of
job responsibilities or regulatory
requirements, such as child care workers,
teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth
organizations, and coaches for children’s sports
organizations.
