| What is it? |
Heartsaver AED Anytime, developed in collaboration with Laerdal
Medical, is a self-directed learning program that provides maximum
flexibility for workplaces that need to provide CPR and AED training
to their employees, but face many logistical challenges with
traditional classroom-based training.
Heartsaver AED Anytime is an innovative approach to providing
training because it allows students to learn adult CPR and AED
skills individually at their own pace or in large group settings.
The Heartsaver AED Anytime kit contains everything needed to learn
CPR and AED skills. Students can learn adult CPR in less than 30
minutes using a DVD and personal manikin and learn AED skills in
under 45 minutes using a computer-based CD-ROM.

| How does it work? |
There are three basic steps to completing the Heartsaver AED Anytime program:
1. The student learns and practices CPR skills using the CPR Skills Practice DVD and the Mini Anne personal CPR manikin. The student
can complete this portion either at the workplace or home.
CPR skills are learned in Practice-While-Watching (PWW) lessons during which students practice adult and/or child CPR skills as the video
guides them. This method of CPR instruction increases CPR practice time and has been research-proven to effectively teach the lifesaving
skills of CPR.
1. The student learns and practices CPR skills using the CPR Skills Practice DVD and the Mini Anne personal CPR manikin. The student
can complete this portion either at the workplace or home.

2. The student completes the Heartsaver AED AnywhereTM
CD-ROM using a computer. After the student has gone through each
of the lessons on the CD-ROM, he/she prints out a certificate
indicating successful completion of the AED segment of the course.
3. The student completes a CPR Skills Test with an American Heart
Association BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. Upon successful
completion of the CPR Skills Test, the student receives an AHA
Heartsaver AED Course Completion Card.

| Who should use Heartsaver AED Anytime? |
The Heartsaver AED Anytime program was designed for commercial companies, corporations, businesses or other entities that need or
want to provide CPR and AED training to their employees or designated first responders, but who face many logistic obstacles with
classroom-based training. Challenges can include the cost of having employees away from their jobs, high employee turnover, and
scheduling.
This personal learning program allows employees to learn CPR and AED skills individually or in large group settings when classroom
training is not feasible.
