This text for the BLS for Healthcare Providers Course provides updated content and many new illustrations for credentialed healthcare providers. It can be used in class as a workbook, before class for preparation, and as a reference book for the student after the course. This book covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction and automated external defibrillation.

The American heart Association's adult ECG & Pharmacology Course presents information on basic electrophysiology, normal ECG measurements, basic arrhythmias, basic ACLS drugs, usage and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies, and how to integrate basic drug pharmacology into ACLS algorithms. The course is divided into two modules: one for ECG (course length 3.5 hours) and one for Pharmacology (course length 2.75 hours) or can be taken together (course length 6.25 hours).
